Walker Tracker is growing and we’re excited to introduce you to our newest member, Taylor Kikuchi. Taylor is our new UX Designer/Product Management Lead. She is working with our team to continue to improve upon your Walker Tracker experience. Welcome Taylor!
What can you tell us about yourself?
I’m originally from San Jose, CA but moved out to the Pacific Northwest almost two years ago. Fun fact: I moved here, sight unseen. My fiancé accepted a job at Nike and convinced me to come along for the ride. It was the best decision I could have ever made!
I recently received my MBA in Design Strategy from California College of the Arts and have a background in User/Customer Experience Design. I’ve designed everything from e-commerce websites to mobile apps (and everything in between), and am excited to join the Walker Tracker team and work on this amazing product.
How long have you lived in Portland?
1.75 years and counting!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love exploring Portland on foot with my pup, Murphy. I love that Portland is so dog-friendly, and we always seem to make new friends along the way. I am also a big “foodie” and love trying out new restaurants (my favorite restaurant at the moment is Mediterranean Exploration Company – the bread pudding is amazing!). I’m always open to new recommendations so if you’ve got a good one let me know!
Do you have a fun fact you would like to share about yourself?
I am a sign artist on the weekend! I love hand lettering/painting and tend to do a lot of chalk lettering & wedding signage.
What do you like to do to stay active?
I have a regular yoga practice and like to walk – a lot. My dog has a TON of energy, and long walks are a must!
