Everyone wants to stay healthy, but when you share space with other people, maintaining your health can become a real challenge.  Sore throats, coughs, runny noses, and other annoying symptoms can pass through any public space, be it your office, school, or family space,  like wildfire.  So what can you do besides walk around in a sterile bubble?  Use therapeutic grade essential oils to purify your space.

Since the earliest of times, we’ve used essential oils to support our body’s systems and functions.  With modern research, we have learned that essential oils have antibacterial and antibiotic properties, as well as the ability to uplift mood and ease tension.

Cleansing a space At this point, you may be thinking, “Great, but how do I use them?”  One of the beauties of essential oils is their versatility.  Many, but not all, certified pure therapeutic grade essential oils can be used topically, internally, or aromatically.  The most useful way to use the oils in a shared workspace is aromatically.  Add a few drops of your favorite scents to a diffuser in an entryway or breakroom. A diffuser is a small device that silently releases a stream of essential oil-filled ultra-fine mist into the air.  The oils work to bond with the air molecules to clean the toxins out of that you breathe, and clean the surfaces upon which they land. In addition, they also interact with your body to fortify your immune system.

Not sure where to start? Oregano, Lemon, Tea Tree, and On Guard Essential Oils (a proprietary blend of essential oils) are examples of oils with antibacterial, antiviral, and antimicrobial properties.

Emotional Health In addition to supporting the physical health of those that share your workspace, certified pure therapeutic grade essential oils have the glorious side benefit of supporting our emotional health.  Lavender has been used for thousands of years to calm the emotions and nervous system and promote a sense of grounding.  This is also true of the King of Oils, Frankincense, which is known to improve brain function, and cellular vitality.  Lemon and other citrus oils uplift and brighten our emotions.

These oils have a beautiful, light scent.  Unlike harsh chemical air fresheners or perfumes and colognes, certified pure therapeutic grade essential oils aromas come naturally from the plant oils. Think of squeezing a whole, fresh lemon: the oil that appears on the rind of the lemon is that fruit’s essential oil.  Just imagine diffusing lemon essential oil in the afternoon to perk you up and brighten your mood!
