A race not run well; will not have accolades at the finish line ...
'Then it happened in the course of time, after the end of two years, that his intestines came out because of his sickness; so he died in severe pain. I did it; I made goal.  I was shy about 40 steps which I just walked off before I went to bed and got a few extra.  Went walking in the morning.  The camera kills the aerobic steps but it makes for an enjoyable morning walking along the Arroyo in the cool of the morning tickling the nostrils.  You can smell the stream long before you're near it and your ears hear its travels.  I made walking a tool to interface; don't call-go see people in person.  It was a profitable day on that level.

much improved - although I thought my walking around at church would be more fruitful.  We didn't do our usual Sunday errands this week; however I did play some ping pong with the kid. My stomach was disgruntled much of the day.  Had soup for dinner.

Saturday is sort of sabbath for me - and I did relax maybe a bit too much.

digressing - I attended a funeral which led me to think I will walk a bit; that didn't happen.  Spent a lot of time driving around - location was Whittier.

Got behind a couple of days - catching up.  Last day of work before a long weekend. Didn't do too badly.

made it with some to spare!  Last two days I took to taking a walk once I got to work - a longer one this day than the day before - however no aerobic steps because...I had my camera ;-).  But it gave me a jump start.  So when things went awry at the end of the day, I was able to own them rather than let them own me.  Yay!

okay I didn't make it LOL; but I got aerobic steps - that counts right?  I didn't even get away from my desk for lunch yesterday *sigh*.  Then we voted.  The we closed the church, which is a voting site.  And the day was gone; all gone once again.

I wouldn't have thought I would get close to my mark today (it gets dark before I even get home now with the time change); but I did.  Walked to/from the cafeteria for lunch.  Had Women's Bible last night and did a store pick-up for the husband - additions to my regular routine. And 'voila'!  Seems so simple; seems God!  However my eating was poor yesterday; gotta fix that!  Away with the holloween candies all over and everywhere!  *sigh*

The bent of the day required more of me and because of it I more than made my steps.  The plan of man was not God's plan which required an 'in season/out of season' readiness calling for mental and physical 'being on ones toes'.  It was a good day.  After church we made the round of errands and then relaxed at home between presentations of the kids project for tomorrow at school.  With an extra hour of sleep under the belt, tomorrow is another day ...

'For seven days celebrate the Feast to the Lord your God at the place the Lord will choose. For the Lord your God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete.' Deuteronomy

plotting to put this month to bed; October effort was spooky at best ;-).  While I accomplished going through a lot of papers yesterday, that didn't equate to many steps. 

Sometimes you have to do a check-up and take a pitt stop.  The Word tells us to examine ourselves before coming to the Table of the Lord. 

'An oracle is within my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked: There is no fear of God before his eyes. For in his own eyes he flatters himself too much to detect or hate his sin. The words of his mouth are wicked and deceitful; he has ceased to be wise and to do good. Even on his bed he plots evil; he commits himself to a sinful course and does not reject what is wrong.' Psalms

Winding up the week and preparing to be on a good foot for the new one and month. 

'The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion, like a champion rejoicing to run his course.  It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is hidden from its heat. '

Work catching up and re-finding my bearings.  Candy is creeping into the office - yikes!  Donuts too!  Pulling out the holiday armor which allows one to enjoy themselves but not lose control. Not falling to the 'okey doke'.

'Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.  Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.' Hebrews

don't count me out yet! (although I won't make the monthly goal). 

For the day will come when it will be said 'For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.'

Meanwhile I take on the charge in All aspects of my Walk: 'Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.'

got some aerobic steps in and made goal 1st time in a while.

'You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth?  That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you.  "A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough."  I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion will pay the penalty, whoever he may be.' Galatians

well finally and I didn't even try to (the best days) - it was the day off activities.  hair, churches Thanksgiving food to mission, pick-up kid's glasses (and see how long he keeps them), but then I did some work at home; big deadline Tuesday.  Spent a little time on bike.  Hoping to make weekend successful!

eeked out a little better this last day ...with a little bike time.
