December by its nature is not going to be a goal month; but I intend for it to be a 'hold the fort' one - and ride out the tide, resuming the regime when it ebbs!  Still recovering from sinuses.  Trying to eat mindfully and recuperate; not overtax myself.

'You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. ' Don't leave without Him.

not feeling as ill as the day before, but similar storyline - although workwise I feel I accomplished more.

Meanwhile a Sister was posting about 'taking care of our temple' and I was reminded of another scripture in Philippians - so today I diverge from my normal course of verse selection for 'path'.

'Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I PRESS on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I PRESS toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus'.

We should be in a 'full court press' but some of us are still on the bench (and not a bench press).  Rather than let the world press against us; let us PRESS ON.

Well considering my work is binding me to my desk - not too bad. The week will be like this.  On top of that a sinus condition cropped up.

well it wasn't a great month on the success charts - I'll count it a success that I came out on the average higher than last month AND that is with a week of missing stats.  Meanwhile I move on to the next month and go for higher heights of achievement.

'Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires.  Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles!  And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.' James 3.  Doing a rudder check, so as not to get off course!

well the sunday rituals were in full effect so I did decently on my steps, before the end of day when I didn't feel as well.  Enjoyed the spouse and kids.

'And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,  in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience' Ephesians 2

well, I lost a week; so goes life - but I caught up the rest of the way.  Can't worry about the past; just need to forge ahead.  There have been some triumphs and I'm working toward more.  It's a time when I need to think about God's garden - a Max Lucado thing.

'Now it came to pass, that when we had departed from them and set sail, running a straight course we came to Cos, the following day to Rhodes, and from there to Patara.'  Acts  Our course in Christ should be straight.

Didnt get many steps even though some of my errands took me out and about.  But the errands and tasks mainlined the day and were constrained by feeling poorly.

'And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, "Come over to Macedonia and help us."  Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them.' if God calls me, let me Respond straightaway!

'And as John was finishing his course, he said, 'Who do you think I am? I am not He. But behold, there comes One after me, the sandals of whose feet I am not worthy to loose.'' knowing that I am not He - but knowing I am His; let me not go unless He sends me.

didn't do the morning walk; had hope to do an afternoon in the angeles forest; but waylayed.  not too bad of a day considering.

Serious Road Check - don't want to be on the wrong one ...
'Why has this people slidden back, Jerusalem, in a perpetual backsliding? They hold fast to deceit, They refuse to return. I listened and heard, But they do not speak aright. No man repented of his wickedness, Saying, 'What have I done?' Everyone turned to his own course, As the horse rushes into the battle.  "Even the stork in the heavens Knows her appointed times; And the turtledove, the swift, and the swallow Observe the time of their coming. But My people do not know the judgment of the Lord.  "How can you say, 'We are wise, And the law of the Lord is with us'? Look, the false pen of the scribe certainly works falsehood.  The wise men are ashamed, They are dismayed and taken. Behold, they have rejected the word of the Lord; So what wisdom do they have? '

Had to fix my entries; they were off by one day.  This is now correct for today.  And LOOK at the number.  Some days I try so hard and get nowhere; other days I don't try as I should an somehow I get over.  God has HIS way as I make myself available to Him, Every Day.  Took a longer walk and mostly worked at my desk.  Had Bible Study in the evening. Had lunch with my sister.  A full day for sure.

Fuelng myself on His energy - the Giver of Life....' I have chosen the way of truth; Your judgments I have laid before me.  I cling to Your testimonies; O Lord, do not put me to shame!  I will run the course of Your commandments, For You shall enlarge my heart.' Psalms

so close and yet so far.  I have a long morning walk to thank for most of it.  It was Taco Tico (as my friend called it) so that was lunch.  Most of the rest of the day was arranging interviews for soon to be college grads.

There are times to speak your mind and seek understanding...get it out and get rid of it; unload so you can be on your way!
'"My soul loathes my life; I will give free course to my complaint, I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.  2  I will say to God, 'Do not condemn me; Show me why You contend with me.' Job
