It was a great day!!  I've taken the Curves Holiday challenge seriously.  I want to maintain this holiday season.  Since it's still a week until Thanksgiving I've decided to kick things up a bit.  I plan on eating tiny portions that day and eating slow. 

Slept in, went to curves and weighed in for holiday challenge.  Challenge is to workout minimum of 3x a week with stretching after and then to maintain or lose weight during the holidays. 

Grandma went home today!!  I brought the kids to see her after school and she was getting ready to go home.  Yeah!!  Her next doctor appointment is Monday and I'm sure they'll schedule chemo treatments then.  I'll keep praying that she continues to beat this.

Great day!!  Drove with mom, sister and kids to Grandmas to clean up her house before she gets home.  She was told she could go home as early as Tuesday!!

8 hours of hard work today at the construction site.  I helped lift roof tresses by hand onto the roof while others put them in place.  My feet and legs were so tired by the time it was to go home.

Grandma is doing pretty good and had a short walk and now has her catheter off so she has to go to the bathroom on her own.

Grandma said that pain isn't getting any better.  She is really thirsty and still can only have a little sponge to wet her mouth.  As soon as her belly starts to work they said she can drink and eat.  Please pray for Grandma belly. 

I asked her what she remembered after surgery and she remembered some things that didn't even happen.  She said we all went out and brought back food to her ICU room to eat while she slept.  That didn't happen. 

I didn't want to leave Grandma and was close to tears.  She was just so thristy and hungry.  As soon as her belly gets to working she can get out of ICU too.

ds was sick with a sore throat and a terrible cough so I stayed home from church today.  No fever so we cleaned his and little brothers room.  Looks good!  Haven't had much time to deep clean their rooms in awhile so took a few hours.
Went to the worksite for a few hours.
Visited Grandma and they gave her a unit of blood since she is anemic.  Nothing to worry about.  They are talking about her leaving ICU tomorrow!!  The boys will be so excited to see Grandma.  The last time they saw her was Thursday before she went into surgery. 

Was the first one at the worksite and stayed until everyone left.  Then headed out to see Grandma at the hospital before visiting hours were over.  Grandma is on a lot of pain medication right now so is still sleeping a lot.  Can't wait until she gets into a different room so my boys can see her.  They sure miss her a lot.

Went into see Grandma this morning and she had the breathing ventilator in still.  Dr. looked at incision and said it looked good.  Left Grandma a hair band she asked for with a note that I love her so if she does wake up without me there today she'll know I'm thinking of her.  Will try to get in today and then tomorrow morning before I go out and work on the construction site.

My Grandma's surgery was a successful one.  It was scheduled for 2pm but she didn't get in until after 5pm.  We stayed to talk to the doctor and then to see Grandma which as about 11:30pm.  They took out cancer that was spread throughout her stomach about the size of a large piece of paper and got all but the size of a thumb nail that was speckled on a few places.  They are certain that chemo will get what is left.  Grandma is on a breathing ventilator until possibly Saturday with medicine to keep her asleep.

Tomorrow Grandma was surgery for what the doctors are certain is ovarian cancer.  The specialist will remove as much of the cancer as possible.  Please keep her in your prayers for the surgery.  There is a bad flu going around town and we don't want her to get it before/after the surgery either.

Didn't get much activity in today but it was a good day of rest.  Did get an hour in at the worksite to make over 10,000 stps.

Kids had sore throats this morning so I didn't go and see Grandma today.  Didn't want to give it to her.  Did give her a call and she is okay but hungry for something other then oatmeal. 

Visiting Grandma a few times during the day to make sure she has company and doesn't need anything at the hospital.  It's worth the house getting very untidy.  Visited Grandma before church and her pain is minimal and her nauseau is finally going down.  After church I'm getting dishes done which are quite a few since I don't have a dishwasher.  I'm getting some laundry, dusting, vacuuming and going through some garage sale items. Only 1 hour left before I leave to work at the construction site so better hurry!
