Wow, maybe we should get someone out there this summer to enlighten everyone as to the reasons why Ann Arbor is so ped friendly.

Hi Clarence - I bet Ann Arbor would be interested in that – these guys would be a great contact: http://getdowntown.org/
http://streetfilms.org is really cool, by the way. You do great work.

Thanks! We try to provide tools for everyone to use to motivate and enlighten their fellow citizens. Although the last few months have had some really great numbers we are still trying to get the word out for people to please use the videos to advocate for change. So we appreciate the linkage.
I posted a quote on GetDowntown. Maybe later this summer I can find a window to come out for a few days.

Thanks Clarence – happy to make local Ann Arbor film maker connections for you. @ascalon and @mitten on walker tracker would be good people to know.
As for why the city is good to walk in, best reason is http://www.umich.edu . The U of Michigan and the city grew up around each other, and there are a number of near to town neighborhoods where housing is good and it’s possible to walk to work. My hike is about 30 minutes, or about 15 minutes on the bus, close enough to make walking a good alternative when it’s not too icy.
