9:00pm: Holy cow....I weighed myself tonight just before my shower (sometimes I do this out of curiosity..and cuz i like playing with numbers). I weigh the same tonight as I did this morning!! Usually there is about a 1-2 lb difference. If 1lb then I can look forward to a 1/2 lb reduction or so the next morning. If closer to 2 lbs, then I might get a .2 or .4 increase. I'm totally curious what tomorrow morning will bring!!! Particularly since tomorrow is sunday and counts towards my official weigh-ins..woohooo! heheheh
Yesterday I came across a "No-Dieting" concept that I put into effect last night (with limited success) and throughout today. It's very basic.
* Eat only when you're body is hungry for fuel.
* Eat what your body is craving.
* Be aware of the food as you eat it (ie pay attention to the taste, textures, etc as you eat).
* Ask yourself regularly as you eat if your body is still asking for fuel. If your body is no longer asking for fuel. Put the food away..you can always have more later when it asks for fuel again.
I really like this. It'll take some effort and focus initially. But any new habit does. And this is one that let's my body (not my mind nor society nor a diet program) decide when and how much to eat. Plus it's already a built in "maintenance" habit...once it becomes a habit that is.
