Today was another cold and cloudy day here in Perth. I did manage to get some walking in though.

Picture is of a mystery plant that I found down the street. I don't know what it is, but I have taken lots of pictures of it.I will be sorry when it stops blooming.

It's ... it's like you live on the other side of the world or something.  Fabulous photo, Susie.  I hope you're feeling a bit more chipper this morning.  "It's probably better to feel too much than too little." --from a movie I recently saw whose title I cannot remember

Hi Starwalker. I susp[ect you're right. This plant looks more like something found in the sea than in a garden!

I forgot to mention I bought a cheap 'plastic fantastic' 50mm lens that has a great reputation. I love it to pieces. This is taken using that lens. It give a lovely shallow depth of field.

This looks a bit like a chrysanthemum. Our mums, though, are autumn flowers. Wonder if it's in the same family? It's lovely.

So nice to be looking forward to your postings again!

A pretty flower and pretty steps too!  It makes me think of an aster growing in a tropical setting.  I guess that can't be since you say it is cold and cloudy.  You are in spring, right?
