Nothing booked in for tomorrow, but have to print out over 150 invoices this afternoon, fold, put in envelopes and put on stamps - so may end up taking them home to finish off.
I hope you don't have to take it home. Working on the weekends stinks.
Morning, Sue. Glad it's quiet today. We've got sun, though there may be snow in the near future. Looks to be in Iowa right now, which is our neighbor to the northwest. Which reminds me, I think I'll look in on Jchallups.
I should explain the geography better: Jean is actually in Nebraska, but that's just across the river from Iowa. Now are you thoroughly confused?
Yes, it doesn't take much!
We have sun too - we need it!!

It is another lovely sunny, cool day here. I need to really enjoy it as they are predicting lots of rain and then cold in the future.
(I would certainly hope that peanut butter would contain nuts... don't you love those warnings? The one on plastic bags that advises you not put them over your head always makes me laugh.

Well, now... since peanuts are legumes, not nuts, it's possible for there to be no nuts in peanut butter.
Stop it Susan - now I AM confused!!! lol
i am confused now cos i always thought legumes were lentils
Organic is best when it comes to peanut butter. My mother is a peanut butter fiend and must use the organic stuff because she is diabetic. No sugar added! My sister also. Her and her husband take it home in their suitcase whenever they visit because they can't get the same brand in Arizona that we have in Wisconsin.
Too funny! We tease them all the time about 'smuggling' peanut butter!

Ok, you're talking to someone whose family was in the seed business.
Maurine, lentils are legumes (not the reverse). Soybeans are legumes, peanuts are legumes, peas are legumes (lentils are legumes). Legumes are plants which contain nitrogen fixing bacteria, so they add nitrogen to the soil naturally. Farmers use them in crop rotation to keep the soil from being depleted of nitrogen: corn one year, soybeans the next. Legumes are also higher in protein than grains -- which is why beans can be used as a protein substitute in vegetarian/vegan diets and why soy can be used in soy milk, etc.
Peanuts are legumes, not nuts, though high in protein as are nuts.

Susan wow many thanks for that i have something else to-day
As someone who is allergic to peanuts and tree nuts I have to say those warnings are great, yet annoying at the same time. I have to laugh at the ones that are obvious--like peanut butter and nut logs. I want to say 'you think?' Duh!!

Health warning on a jar of (organic) peanut butter I've just bought - 'Contains peanuts. May also contain traces of nuts' - not for nut allergy sufferers, obviously. Not tried organic version until now - think I prefer it. It spreads easier & contains 7.3g fibre per 100g - so good for me too so long as I don't look too closely at the calories.....
