Still trying to sort out problem with accounts program - it's going to take ages, especially as I have to keep stopping to answer the phone, etc.
Desk-tied today, but jog/step in place for 3 mins each hour when news comes on radio.  OK - so I sneaked in some choccie biccies too - feeling stressed with these accounts!!  Looks like I'll be working on them all weekend too.
Things are looking up - DH & BIL mended a boiler this morning & the customer just sent us a bouquet "with much appreciation and very many thanks".

Watched a reallt scary programme last night - Claire Sweeney's Big Fat Diet.  Claire Sweeney (actress & very slim!) volunteered for an experiment to eat what she fancied over a six week period, so she didn't diet of exercise.  She gained 2 stone & 6 inches round her waist!!!  Very frightening.  Really brought it home to me how quickly weight can go on & what damage it can do.  I'm over 2 stone heavier than I want to be, but not for much longer!!!

Quick walk round town at lunch - too cold to go any further.  Surprising how big the Woolworths store looks now it's empty.  One of the largest shops in the town's high street.

Have brought some mince pies into work for the men with a 'help yourself' note on - wonder how long they'll last?  I'm not eating them - have told myself I will no longer be a human dustbin.  Have lost 2.6lbs since Friday!!  Woohoo!!

Customer bought some chocs in for us - they're apricot (yuck!) so I won't be eating any of them.
So busy!! Working til lunchtime.  Then dash up to Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel for Johnny's annual check up appointment for 2.15 (will eat my twiglets while on train!).  Back to work afterwards to sort out jobs for tomorrow.
Johnny's check up went well - he's grown 4 inches in a year - apparently he is very healthy!!  Woohoo!!  She also spoke to him about the perils of sunburn, etc & checking for moles.  Back in a year for ECG as well (has to have ECG every 5 years).  Good news!!
Bad news! - won't make my step count for today, but am over goal anyway.  just mustn't get too far behind.

Stayed up til 2am - slept through til 6.30 when I got up to put turkey in oven!  Been slaving over hot stove all morning - BIL, MIL, DS Mark & his GF Lizzie coming for dinner.  Turkey; (nut cutlet for me); roast pots; stuffing; pigs in blankets; sprouts; cauliflower; gravy; sherry trifle; chocolate gateau; wine; - have I forgotten anything??  Then buffet for supper.  Won't make step goal today - too much cooking & eating!!

Too much sitting around, but what the hell - it's new year & a holiday & we had company, but.... Watch out tomorrow!!!

Crap night - went to bed at 12; awake just before 2; stayed awake til 4.30 (even stepped in place for an hour although ped didn't register much!); dozed on & off til 7 when I thought I'd better get up - so had about 3 hours sleep in total.  Yawn!

Another cold & frosty morning which means a very busy day at work.
Feeling tired - getting fed up waking up at either 4 or 5 oclock & just lying there for a couple of hours before drifting off just before the alarm rings...
Discovered big problem with accounts program at work - spoke with program maufacturers for ages to try & resolve.  The only way they say I  can deal with it is to adjust each customer account separately.  With over 3,000 customers, that ain't funny.

Mmmm....considering my step count was 3121 before I went to bed this morning, one could consider today's steps as pretty atrocious!!
We spent the day at BIL's - eating, drinking & watching telly.  Usual Christmas fare.  Nice relaxing day.
New phone. loads of lovely smelly stuff  - and choccies!!  I have enough chocolates to give all WT comrades at least one each!  Ever heard of Hotel Chocolat?  DS Mark gave me some chocs from there - haven't dared look in the box yet...
And I'm supposed to lose weight for my cruise???

Already been hassled by BIL at work - 'Don't book any more work in cos I'm not working this afternoon'.  I get hassle from customers cos I can't get someone out to repair their boiler immediately or I get hassled by the engineers for booking too much work in.  I can't win!!!  Hopefully no one else will ring up...  BIL apologised - good.
10.30 and just finished work!!!   Yippee!!  On holiday until Monday!!!!!!!!!!

Was in shop waiting to pay & thought I recognised the woman behind me - had to look a couple of times then plucked up the courage to say "Are you Jane?"  She obviously didn't recognise me so I told her who I was.  We were in the same class at secondary school - we left there 30 years ago.

Shortest day, but not as short as the one @henross is experiencing!  Sunrise 8.04am, sunset 3.54pm.  From tomorrow, the evenings start drawing out! 
Almost had a disaster this morning.  Went to visit parents this morning with DS Mark & Johnny.  When I got back - no door key!!  Locked myself out & DH is out all day.  Luckily, Mark managed to borrow a ladder from a neighbour & let himself in through the bedroom window which was ajar.  Disaster averted - didn't fancy being locked out til about 10 o'clock tonight!
My sister had a disaster too - put her mobile phone through washing machine!!  What a pair of idiots we are!
