Johnny has science exam at school today - 2 multiple choice papers.  Tried to give him some 'expert' advice - "I know how to do exams, Mum!"  OK my son.
Loads of errands for work at lunch - bank, stationers, Post Office, etc.
Popped into sister's after work to pick up stuff for tomorrow , then supermarket shopping.
Packing & sorting out last minute things for weekend.
Dad rang the Dr today to make an appointment for check-up.  "Congratulations on your Golden Wedding - I saw your picture in the paper." said the Dr.  Sisters & I had put an announcement in the local paper & parents hadn't got round to seeing it!! (Mind you, this was 8.30 in the morning).   They were thrilled once they saw it though.

My desk is a disaster area - so much sorting out & tidying to do.  One item at a time & I must walk across the office to put each individual item away.  Am determined to get more steps in - have been severely lacking & I know I won't get many in over weekend.

Been with parents all morning.  We have finally let them know what is going on next weekend - they were thrilled and said they were really looking forward to it.  Chris joined in via Skype which was great.  We presented them with an album showing pictures of where we are staying.

The weekend is here & hopefully we won't get any rain - last 2 weekends have been a complete washout.
Washing & general stuff this morning.  Haircut & colour this afternoon.  Bonus - DH did all vacuuming while I was out - usually we do it between us.  No-one dare touch the washing though!!!!  That's my domain - am very fussy about how it's folded!
My steps are always lower at the weekend - strange considering I sit at a desk all week.  An hour stepping in place watching Casualty rewarded me with zero aerobic steps.

Hoping for a quieter day - can't send DH out on jobs this afternoon.  Desperately needs to fit new brake pads on van - they grate & grind rather alarmingly!
Few errands to run at lunch - bank, etc.  I saw 2 separate incidents of cars with foreign plates being stopped and searched by police at lunchtime today - both in the high street, 2 minutes walk from each other.  Illegal immigrants?  Drug smugglers?  Who knows.

Weight is a disaster!!!!!!!!!  Ate a lot more fibre last week, but obviously did not drink enough - food retention!!
New computer working well - certainly much quicker than the old one.  Didn't get many steps this afternoon, but managed some more this evening.
Think I might change my name - Canya, Couldya, Didya or Willya all spring to mind!!  lol

New computer being set up at 9 o'clock - must get wages done by then!  No PC access afterwards for a couple of hours.  Well,a couple of hours was more like four & a half!  Some newer versions of old programs will take some getting used to.
Remembrance Day - hope everyone honoured the 2-minute silence at 11 o'clock.
Best thing I can say about today's steps is that I made 14 million!!!!!!!!!

Disaster!!!!!  The computer didn't work when I got to work this morning - so I had to go back through all my notes to try & work out who was working where today.  Luckily, after loads of fiddling we (well, Mark) managed to get it going again.  Daren't switch it off again.
Phone has been so busy - usual for a Monday morning - don't know whether I'm coming or going!  Feels like 5pm already!
Set to hit 14 million today if I can squeeze in 23,588 today, if not tomorrow.
Walking in the rain at lunch - delivering letters & went to computer repair shop to explain problems I've been having lately.
Work computer problem has been diagnosed - knackered hard drive!!  Solution - new computer!!!!  Just for me?  How kind they are - will be round to set it up & transfer data tomorrow morning.  Must give me time to get wages, etc done first or my men will rebel!!
10704 steps to 14 million - definitely tomorrow!

No hangover!! - up & done ironing while DH & DS were still asleep.
Watched Remembrance Day service on telly from the Cenotaph in London - thank you to all those who gave their lives for us.
Spent a couple of hours with parents this morning.  My sister Lorraine was there too - seems to be coping, but Mum said she was in floods of tears when they went to see her the other day.  Obviously finding it very hard, but trying to put a brave face on things - poor girl.

So busy at work today - usual Friday stuff.  At least it's quiet - as in no drilling.
Health warning on a jar of (organic) peanut butter I've just bought - 'Contains peanuts.  May also contain traces of nuts'  - not for nut allergy sufferers, obviously.  Not tried organic version until now - think I prefer it.  It spreads easier & contains 7.3g fibre per 100g - so good for me too so long as I don't look too closely at the calories.....

Happy birthday to DS Dave - 20 today!!  Pic of birthday boy with his girlfriend, Grace.  Going out to dinner with them tonight.  Went to Slug & Lettuce the other day for lunch - tonight we're going to The Snail.  Interesting choice of names!
Drilling again - they promised that they will be  finished today. 
Woohoo!!!!!  Ben's book has arrived - next on my reading list.  Hope it's good, Ben!
The drilling has finished; they've filled in the whole & re-opened the road - peace at last!!!!
Lovely meal - had a mixture of baked fish (haddok, swordfish, scallops, bass & salmon) with mixed veg, followed by banoffee pie.

And so, the drilling outside my office goes into a second day.....pass the headache pills & ear plugs!!!  They've just told us that the drains for the buiding opposite have not been connected for last 10 years, so raw sewage has just been going into ground - OMG!!!!  Thank goodness the place has been empty for the last 5 years!  They renovated it last year but can't let it, so it remains empty.

What fun - they've just started digging up the road right outside my office.  Have to contend with that noise & vibration all day.  Bonus - perhaps I won't hear the phone ring.  Now THAT would be SO good!!!!!
Remembered to buy some eggs at lunchtime - very essential ingredients for the quiche I am making for dinner tonight.

Just totted up - I'm in 16 competitions at the mo!!  Must get the steps up again after yesterday's dismal effort.
MIL in town so we went for lunch at Slug & Lettuce - had chips & garlic mayo.  Was going to have a healthy soup, but only soup on offer had meat in it, so had to opt for something else that was quick as we didn't have a lot of time. 
Loads of rushing around just trying to general chores tonight.

Up at 9 - done the ironing while watching last night's Strictly come Dancing.  Annoyed 'cos it only recorded half the show.   Off to see parents in a bit - not many steps while sitting chatting.
Watched Lewis become World Champ!!!  Gosh - talk about leaving it late Lew!!!  At last, us Brits have a new hero!!!!  No more racing now til March though - how will we survive the Winter??
Not the best of step days - but will make it up before the month is out.
