| 2008-10-18 | 7,500 | 3.3m | Long, inactive day, and it is not even over yet. |
| 2008-10-17 | 9,464 | 4.2m | So much for trying to take time to smell the roses. I am stressed and tired and worried about money. Only now eating and spending the way I should have been for the last 10 years. Oh well. On the up side, I am putting away enough for retirement, according to the calculator on my credit union web site. This is a goofy little vase I bought on ebay and had appraised before I even received it. It is worth $10 and I paid about $4.50. Vintage! But it is an interesting little vase with a lot of dripping glaze. Someone had some fun making this. |
| 2008-10-16 | 9,385 | 4.2m | Spent most of the day at my desk. Walked 30 minutes from the metro home. |
| 2008-10-15 | 7,612 | 3.4m | I spent a lot of time at the desk today, but I did walk to and from the train, and I paced a lot while I waited. So, not a bad day. I received a comment today from a wonderful walker in Spain, and it made me realize that there is beautiful life outside of my stressed out little world. I need to start taking pictures and posting them to remind me. In November 2007, we went to Istanbul. Turkey for Thanksgiving! If I had known what the economy was going to do the next year, I would never have gone, so it is a good thing we do not know the future. This is picture of the Sea of Marmara from my hotel room on November 18, 2007. And tomorrow I will walk more. |
| 2008-10-14 | 9,999 | 4.4m | I forgot my pedometer AGAIN, so I am conservatively guestimating. I think this is not far off. I am still sweating from the walk to the metro (or maybe it was the steam from the pasta, or the wine I had with the pasta). Anyway, an active day. |
| 2008-10-13 | 3,000 | 1.3m | Spent most of the day at home in my jammies. Went out for pizza and cake, about 2500. |
| 2008-10-12 | 14,950 | 6.6m | Plus, 75 minutes of yoga one and two hours of restorative yoga/meditation. I am hoping I will be able to walk tomorrow. |
| 2008-10-11 | 12,578 | 5.6m | Housecleaning, errands and a walk around the neighborhood. I added 500 points for the morning and evening. I hope to be sound asleep by 9:30 p.m. |
| 2008-10-10 | 12,176 | 5.4m | I am so tired of politics. Why are attempts to discuss and promote diversity so political and divisive? |
| 2008-10-09 | 11,445 | 5.1m | What a day. I added 500 extra points for morning and evening without the pedometer. I am tired. |
| 2008-10-08 | 8,000 | 3.6m | I think about this (conservatively thinking) because I forgot my pedometer today. I am really distracted these days - I should be working very hard to prove my worth, but my brain seems to be shutting down from fear and anxiety. Maybe more stunned than shutting down. I fell down hard on the sidewalk during a lunchtime walk and decided to discontinue the walk and eat instead. Everyplace was packed. And everyone looked stunned as they stuffed themselves with bread, pasta and pizza! It was amazing. So, hoping tomorrow will be a better day. |
| 2008-10-07 | 8,000 | 3.6m | About this much. Most of the day was staring at the computer in disbelief. |
