Steps so far

Alix's room again. Yes around the door frame are paint chip cards from Home Depot glued to the wall.

2:30 treadmill, house dedecoration. The weather was freezing rain mixed with rain all day. While I found the weather OK, you really could not walk in it. That being said, I spent time taking down Christmas decorations and putting back the stuff that was there before. I wanted to save that work for the sprint starting on Saturday but I needed to get steps for Ice. Otherwise I would have just hit the treadmill for another hour.

Picture is one of Alix's room taken last year when she wasn't home (so it was neat). She wanted me to take pictures so she could show her friends what she lived in. Yes the walls are fuschia and the woodwork is chartreuse. It's a long story....

2:30 treadmikk, post office. Had a lot of work to do that kept me desk bound today. Did get some wood chopped in case we lose power tomorrow due to the ice storm.

Redid web site to now have individual kinds of cookies available for purchase. Received my first testimonial (outside of people who know me) on how much they enjoyed the cookies. Very exciting indeed!

Most steps posted. The beginning of the year has shown a lot of people in the 40K group every day. Great!  Hopefully they will keep it up.

Went out to Long Island again for my father in laws 80th birthday

3:00 treadmill (only because of the sprint thing), shoprite, chopped some wood, afternoon walk

Fridays are usually a high day as most of my desk work is done for the week

I finally uploaded some Christmas photos, so I have added one for today. This is from Rockefeller Center in NYC the day after Christmas. Alix is on the left, Krysta is on the right

Sacher Torte from yesterday. My cake decorating leaves something to be desired, but it tasted great

3:30 treadmill, just your usual running around preparing dinner for friends

We actually made it until midnight, and hit the sack about 1:30. I'll try to get a picture of the cake uploaded later.

2:30 treadmill, shoprite. Steps so far. I'm baking a cake now for tomorrow.

When we went into NYC, we visited FAO Schwartz which is a great toy store. The girls saw these and had to buy them. Alix got one that had a reindeer costume, Krys got the bee which is in the picture. His name is Sirotan. He has been around for a while in Japan but I dont know how long here in the US

It always amazes me how the house looks like a tornado went through it whenever they come to visit.

3:30 treadmill, afternoon walk

Attended a friend of ours last sermon as a pastor, as she is retiring from the ministry at the age of 70. Small little luncheon at her church down in Schoenersville PA, about 45 minutes away.

Girls have packed up and will be leaving around 4:30 tomorrow morning. Alix has a 6:00 AM flight, and Krys is going back to Philly for a day and then flying to Minneapolis to spend a couple of weeks with a friend of hers before school starts.

2:00 treadmill, some after Christmas shopping

Went to a small neighborhood Christmas party at night. Quiet lazy day

A very long day in NYC, and visiting relatives on Long Island. We didn't get to bed until 2:30 AM. Photo will be uploaded eventually.

Steps so far. Will be a low day for sure

Had a nice day, just the four of us. Alix came in at around 2:00 from Chicago, Krys arrived last night' They insisted on doing the same things they have done since they were little, open stockings while a tape recorder is recording what was in their stocking, and then having breakfast - even though it was 3:00 by the time we started it. We had previously had muffins and fruit around 10. After breakfast opened gifts and had dinner around 7:30. We actually weren't all that hungry so I have a lot of leftovers. Watched Sesame St Christmas and Muppet Family Christmas, also traditions and Deb and I hit the sack at around 11:30.

3:30 treadmill.

Awful weather today. Went to 4:30 church service to see the junior choir (and most of my Sunday School kids) Krys arrived from Philly about 7:15, so she and I did not go to the 7:30 service. We all went to the 10:00 Jazz Celebration at Church on the Mountain in Delaware Water Gap

2:30 treadmill, Walmart

Pretty quiet day. Made three kinds of muffins for Christmas Day breakfast. Leftovers will freeze well.

Alix made this for her holiday party. I am impressed!

2:30 treadmill, shoprite, delivering cookies locally (by foot of course!)

Holiday cookie baking is done, but there is more baking ahead that is not cookies) muffins tonight (for Christmas breakfast), molten lava cakes (for Christmas dessert) and brownies Christmas night to bring to a party on Sunday night. Probably do a Sacher Torte for New Years Eve dinner with friends. Haven't made one of them in a while.

2:30 treadmill, usual Sunday running around
We finished decorating the tree and of course a little snow to shovel. We were spared the 3-6" that was forecast as we stayed in a bsnd of nice weather while there was sow to the north and rain to the south

2:30 treadmill, a bit of snow shoveling, food shopping. Got the lights on the tree, but a little disappointed that the tree is already losing its needles. We may cut down our own next year. The last time we did that back in the mid 90's, we selected a tree that at one time was covered with poison ivy. I had a case so fad it took over a  month to clear up, even with medication. ANother snowy event is in store for us tomorrow
