Ok, so I had to go back to work today. Back to the real world, where I can concentrate on what I need!

Problem was that I was stuck at my desk for most of the day fixing all the little quirks from our computer update.

And it is still so doggone cold outside! The wind makes it seem even worse. I am really looking forward to spring.

Today's pic is just a reminder to get my feet moving! No excuses!

Spent a good part of today driving so not many steps. Went to Walmart with my Dad this morning so I got a few steps there.

I was a little worried about how the roads would be on the drive home, but they turned out to be fine. Somewhat snow covered for the first 100 miles or so and then gradually they improved.

I found an awesome radio station that was playing 70's rock and roll music. This really made for a great ride home. Not sure where the station is located but I had tuned in for the last 3 hours of my drive! Excellent music!

Another pic from Dan's woods. I talked to him on the phone for part of the trip and he says it has been pouring rain in Louisiana! Big difference from here; we have 3 degrees!

Spent a nice day with my parents and brother. And of course we are having a major snowstorm.

Well, today I am totally amazed at how fast time can really go by! I took Dan to the airport this morning and he is all safe and sound back in Baton Rouge!

But he just got here! How can he be gone already?

We had a really good time just being together. Did not go out much; just shopping and driving about. Bought and cooked lots of good food, relaxed and did manage to get some work done at both our homes. My storm window and computer chair both are fixed and we both cut, loaded and unloaded a lot of firewood for his house.

Well I better check how many days until Dan comes home next! I can't wait!

Spend the morning in Dan's woods cutting firewood. It was really cold at first because of the wind, but the more we worked the warmer I got.

Then we headed home to make a big pot of spaghetti.

Only one more day with Dan...wow is time going by fast! :(

Ran a bunch of errands today; mostly spent driving. Then had a relaxing evening watching movies!

Gonna cut wood tomorrow in Dan's woods so that will be a good workout.

Lazy day here. Primed my window so we can add the glass. Primer paint needs to dry for at least an hour. I guess by now it is dry.

Really low stepping day today! Dan and I wanted to go to Madison for the day but after driving to his place to add wood to the fire we decided it was too foggy. Visibility was awful. We got up to 53 degrees and a lot of snow melted.

We stopped at the hardware store to buy glass for one of my storm windows and headed home. Then we mostly relaxed.

I am finally off for the rest of the year!

Just a few more hours and I am out of here until the 5th! Snowing like crazy still. I think it has been snowing since Monday sometime and not sure if it will ever quit.

Dang, I am all already to leave work and realize that two of our doors are open until 4:00pm; that means I cannot set the alarm (or leave) until 4:00pm. Well I guess it is a good time to submit my overtime hours!

Stuck at work until 7:30pm putting our computer upgrade in. Successfull this time; thank goodness! But could not wait to leave to get home to Dan. Well after tomorrow I am off until the 5th of Jan. Yeah!!

:) Big smile here on my face! Dan is home and things are all snuggly warm again! He had flight delays because of O'Hare in Chicago having weather issues, but he made it to Milwaukee about 45 minutes late.

Since Dan gave me my Christmas present early (my new computer) I decided to give him one of his presents from me! He loved it; I got him a real nice digital camera, but he is still reading the manual before he starts taking pics! Stay tuned for some Dan pics!

I think I am finally done with my shopping for Christmas! Almost decided to skip it because it is so cold outside but I went anyway. The roads were plowed but snow covered. Plowed = passable in my book. And snow has good traction when it is this cold! -2 degrees right now! 30 mile an hour winds are making wind chills of about -25!

Yikes, I am getting too used to this weather and driving in it. I took the back roads to go shopping and once when I checked my speed, I was going 60 mph on snow covered roads! My traction felt good but I decided to slow down anyway!

Going to work early tomorrow because Dan is coming home!! Yes!

Spent a good part of the day shoveling my driveway. Stopped over at my neighbors house and gave them a gift card for the gas station in town and a cookie cook book form our gas/electric company. I know she collects them and I got 2 from the gas company this year. (had a small gas leak in my basement that they fixed)

I visited with them and showed them how to do stuff on their computer. When I left to come home and finish the last of my driveway, there was 2 inches of fresh fluffy snow! Really pretty and full of sparkle! I did finish the last of my driveway because it had ice at the bottom that I wanted out.

Paid bills and straightened up the house the rest of the day.

Dan arrives Monday at 1:20pm!!

Made it to work in the snowstorm; we got over a foot of snow! Only got stuck once just around the corner from my house, they plowed the main road and it clogged up the intersection. Had trouble getting off the freeway because the exits had cars stuck in them!

Bonus day made it worth the trip! They were double what we got last year! Really sweet!

Then I did a bunch of shopping on the way home because we have another storm coming late tomorrow afternoon!  :(

Ok, you guys stop wishing for snow!!

Well today I got to work and our Head Controller sprung this on me; the auditor will be here at 9am to audit our Inventory and Cycle Count process! What a way to screw up a day...I am also our resident expert in both of these areas.

This year I got a young man who seemed a little more on top of things than last years young girl who was very new. But my stockroom guy knows his stuff, so I set up a cycle count and sent the auditor off with him. When they were done I reconciled the variances, he asked for a few printouts and by 12:30 he was going out the door just as our Head Controller from Rochester, NY was coming in. I went upstairs to check in with our Controller and I got a thumbs up and a big smile from across the room. The auditor was happy and gone and that made us happy!!

Supposed to get lots of snow tonight! But tomorrow is bonus day so I will get there no matter what!

Long day at work and the computer update did not work! They usually don't the first time. Will call support tomorrow and see what is up.

Now I am just bracing myself for our next 'major' snowstorm. Expecting 12 inches tonight.
